Colombia has banks which are authorized to provide full banking services to licensed Cannabis companies, facilitating national and international transactions.
05 / LOW PRODUCTION COST
Being a developing country Colombia has low labour, land, water, electricity and building costs, driving greater profit margins, particularly for vertically integrated companies.
03 / REGULATION
Colombia formalized its cannabis industry in 2017. The government published the resolutions defining the rules for the production and processing of cannabis for medical and scientific purposes.
06 / EARLY STAGE IN THE MARKET
As of the first semester of 2019, just a few Colombian companies had developed and satisfactory register cultivars and are able to undertake commercial production.

REGULATION
In Colombia law permits the cultivation of cannabis plants, the manufacture of cannabis products and the use of seeds as long as their purpose is medicinal or scientific. There are 4 kinds of licenses with different modalities.
